Sovereign Gold Bonds Features | What are SGBs? By Yadnya

Govt of India has launched the Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGBs) Scheme last year which seeks to encourage people to buy gold bonds instead of physical gold. Sovereign Gold Bonds are Government securities denominated in multiples of gram(s) of gold which offer fixed interest rate apart from Gold’s capital appreciation. These Bonds are issued by the Reserve Bank of India on behalf of the Government of India and are traded on stock exchange.
